Basanth Panchami
The birth anniversary of Sri Ramchandraji Maharaj of Fatehgarh (Lalaji Maharaj), the Adi Guru of the Natural Path, born on the Basant Panchami day in 1873.
Significance
Basanth Panchami marks the advent of Samarth Guru Mahatma Sri Ramchandraji Maharaj of Fatehgarh — affectionately known as Lalaji Maharaj — the Adi Guru of the Natural Path. He was born on the Basant Panchami day in the month of Magha, corresponding to 2nd February 1873, at Fatehgarh, Uttar Pradesh.
The same sacred day is also remembered as the day on which Dr. K. C. Varadachari attained his Maha Samadhi, on 31st January 1971.
Observance
Each year ISRC observes Basanth Panchami with congregational sittings and discourses on the lives and teachings of the Masters. As the festival follows the lunar calendar, its date varies from year to year, falling in late January or February.
An archive of talks delivered at past Basanth Panchami congregations by Pujya Sri K. C. Narayana is available on the Imperience Celebrations page.
